Alessandro Perego

Alessandro Perego, born in Milan on 8 January 1969, is currently Full Professor of Logistics and Supply Chain Management at the Department of Management Engineering of the Politecnico di Milano, where he was previously Director of the Department of Management Engineering from January 2017 to December 2022. He is a member of the university’s Executive Board and, since January 2023, has also held the position of Vice-Rector for Sustainable Development and Impact.

He is Cavaliere dell’Ordine al Merito della Repubblica Italiana for his contribution to the Municipality and Prefecture of Milan during the Covid-19 pandemic. In addition to his academic career, he is Scientific Director of Osservatori Digital Innovation, which he co-founded in 1999.

He is also the founder and Scientific Director of the Sustainable Food Lab and a founding member of the Banco Alimentare Foundation. He is the author of over 150 publications on digital innovation and logistics and production systems management. He is also co-founder and shareholder of Digital360 SpA, President of AMAT and Honorary President of Number1 Logistics.
